ODP Real Time Segments

TASK
Expand on existing Segment Builder functionality from Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) to support building Real-Time Segments, while also simplifying a complex user experience and iterating on longer-term solutions.
PURPOSE
Allow ODP clients to segment on customers in real time to unlock advanced web-based personalization use cases across the Optimizely suite of products.
OUTCOME
Pre-acquisition, ODP (formerly Zaius) found competitive success with multiple iterations of the Segment Builder feature and was heading in the direction of a version 3. After several rounds of low-fidelity iteration, usability tests, conditional logic mapping, and updated requirements, an MVP Real-Time Segment building experienced was born. I created a prototype to share with stakeholders and communicate design details with Product Management and Engineering, as well as additional mocks to convey future milestones for updating look and feel to align with brand.
